This poor woman. I always feel for Emma. She went through so much. I believe she was a major part in restoring the gospel. I am angry thinking about what polygamy did to her. I’m struggling to understand why Joseph thought it okay to lie about his lifestyle. If everything he did was Gods will why would he not tell Emma and they could together decide these things?
The fact that she turned cold towards Emily and Eliza is, what you said, so sad in showing her torment. Emily did not deserve two men who, as it seems, used her, Brigham was obviously intimate with her. How can you treat a woman who slept with your old self and gave birth to your children that way. I want to hug all these women.
